CRS delivers cutting, coring and diamond drilling as an integrated part of our concrete repair and refurbishment capability. Unlike a standalone cutting contractor, we understand what the cut or the core is for, and we deliver it to the tolerance the following work requires. A core taken for chloride profiling needs to be extracted intact and without contamination. An anchor hole for a cathodic protection connection needs to be sized and cleaned to the system specification. A cut for section removal needs to leave a clean edge for the reinstatement that follows.
The full toolkit is delivered in-house. Diamond core drilling from 8mm sampling cores through to 600mm+ structural openings. Wall sawing, floor sawing and track sawing for controlled section removal. Wire sawing for large sections and complex geometries. Hand-held cutting and grinding for small-scale work. Controlled demolition using hydraulic breakers, crushers and specialist attachments where the scope requires it.
Cutting and drilling work often takes place in occupied buildings, live infrastructure environments and sensitive locations. Dust suppression, noise management, water control and structural monitoring are planned into every job. Where the operation affects load paths, temporary works are designed and installed before cutting begins.
